Letter from the Executive Head of School

Dear Siena Community,

Across our two campuses, our dedicated donor community enabled The Siena School Scholarship Fund to have another strong year, awarding 10 scholarships and changing even more families’ lives through a Siena education.

Throughout the past year, several members of our community shared what Siena means to them:

“We thank the Scholarship Fund for supporting our family. Our son has thoroughly enjoyed his new school experience. We are so proud.”
—Elementary Family
“We are so grateful to have our daughter at Siena again this year. Thank you for offering a great education and for cultivating a joy of learning in her.”
—Middle School Family
“We can’t express enough how grateful we are for this community and how Siena has made us comfortable being ourselves and confident about our futures.”
—Class of 2024 Graduate

Generosity from Siena parents, grandparents, faculty and staff, alumni families, Board members, and other donors makes this enriching education possible each year.

As Siena prepares to welcome more students through Silver Spring’s Satellite Campus, we thank you all again for supporting our growing community.

Ever Gratefully,

Dr. Jilly Darefsky

COMMUNITY INVESTMENT

Grandparent Donors

At both Siena campuses, grandparents were again integral members of our donor community, accounting for nearly 25% of total giving this year to help others access the life-changing education their own families have

Sibling Support

A sibling of an elementary student selected the Scholarship Fund as a gift recipient for her milestone birthday to celebrate her brother’s success at Siena—and to help others have the same opportunity

Homecoming Celebrations

Thanks to strong sales of food, drinks, and Siena spirit gear, Homecoming 2023 raised almost $500 for the Scholarship Fund

New Business Donors

Inspired by her visit to Siena to see our innovative dyslexia education firsthand, an education professional became one of our new business donors during the Spring Fundraiser

A special thank you goes out to these dedicated donors, who realize that great school communities grow on giving.
